The goal is to develop and design a solar algae dryer which will remove water from an algae-water solution.  

The project requirements are:
  - Use solar power for drying process and as a power source
  - Not harm the components of the algae in the process
  - System has to be smaller than 1 m2
  - Compliant with the 2006/42/CE 2006‐05‐17, 2005/95/CE 2006‐12‐2
    and ROHS EU Directives
  - Comply with the following EU Directives:
    - Machine Directive ([[http://ec.europa.eu/enterprise/sectors/mechanical/documents/legislation/machinery/|2006/42/CE 2006-05-17]]);
    - Electrical Safety: Low Level Voltage Directive ([[http://ec.europa.eu/enterprise/sectors/electrical/lvd/index_en.htm|2006/95/CE 2006-12-12]]);
    - Restriction of Hazardous Substances (ROHS) in Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive ([[http://www.rohs.eu/english/index.html|2002/95/EC 2003-01-27]]);
